Immediate past national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has emerged unopposed in the Saturday’s Edo North senatorial district primary of the ruling party following the withdrawal of incumbent Senator Francis Alimikhena from the race.

Citing injustice, Senator Alimikhena had in a letter dated Friday May 27 and sent to the APC National Chairman resigned his membership of the party.

The two term Senator wrote: “I write to notify you that I have withdrawn from the Primary election as a result of injustice and also withdraw my membership from the party.”

Alimikhena, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariff has however refused to disclosed his membership of another party.
