There is no doubt that politics has become a destructive tool in Delta State, because of Okowa’s oligarchic inclination to dominate the rest of the State.

In his desperation to cling to power after his tenure, he has continued to fund and work with several Delta North individuals to create a pretentious APC faction. This is with the sole aim of denigrating and disparaging Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, CFR.

These are individuals who worked against the APC in the last general election, especially in Delta North. They have been out to malign him, thinking that in doing so they will garner the president’s attention.

The role Obarisi, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege played in the victory for two Senators, one member of the House of Representatives, and approximately eight members of the State House of Assembly is undeniable.

Amidst these impressive results during the recently concluded elections, some individuals have turned to baseless accusations, which is disheartening and pitiable. It was first claimed that Ovie Omo-Agege did not work for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu during the recently concluded elections. Later, they came up with another laughable allegation: that Omo-Agege recruited Emefiele to scuttle Tinubu’s presidential bid and lately that Delta State APC Senators voted against Akpabio during the recent elections of principal officers in the Senate. If one scrutinizes these claims and allegations with sufficient seriousness, the speciousness of such claims becomes evident.

An objective intellectual or an adult with a well-balanced mind would know that anyone who made such claims and allegations would not have just been trying to escape reality, but rather would have had conditions that erased reality — mental illness or addiction to alcohol or drugs.

It is a historical fact that Dr. Cairo Ojougboh and Mrs. Lauretta Onochie conspired with the PDP during the last general election. It was Okowa and the PDP’s intention to cause confusion in the Delta State APC by sponsoring these disoriented individuals who were outsiders within the party.

However, amidst the numerous attempts of political jobbers and losers to pull him down by launching hateful and bitter campaigns of calumny against Ovie Omo-Agege, the much-admired former Deputy Senate President remains steadfast and unshaken.

There is no doubt that in light of the upcoming appointments of Ministers and the reconstitution of federal boards and parastatals, these individuals have orchestrated and hatched various plots to undermine Omo-Agege’s political standing and tarnish his reputation. Their efforts have proven futile because Senator Ovie Omo-Agege achieved significant results in the just concluded general elections. Delta State presidential and national assembly results are available for public evaluation.

Despite the ongoing campaigns of calumny against him, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege remains unfazed and focused on his goals. He continues to pursue his objectives with dedication and commitment, undeterred by the baseless accusations and malicious rumours being spread about him. His steadfastness in the face of adversity is a testament to his strength of character and unwavering resolve.

Omo-Agege’s reputation as a principled leader who puts the interests of his people first is well-deserved, and he will not be swayed by those who seek to undermine him. Instead, he will continue to work tirelessly to improve the lives of those he embodies, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met. Despite the challenges he faces, Omo-Agege remains confident in his ability to overcome them and emerge stronger than ever before. His resilience in the face of adversity serves as an inspiration to all who know him, and he will undoubtedly continue to make a positive impact.

Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege will reclaim his mandate at the tribunal and in the courts. No one can take away the mandate freely given by the resilient people of Delta State. No amount of blackmail, propaganda, or hate speech against Ovie Omo-Agege will succeed.

It should be stated that the spoilers who are part of these conspiracies against Omo-Agege are wasting their time. In spite of all this, Ovie Omo-Agege is not perturbed. He stands firm like a rock in the sea, undisturbed and unmoved by ever-rising waves.

Omo-Agege has the most sincere of intentions for Delta State and Nigeria. He is loyal and solidly in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Senate President, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio.

In God’s appointed time, truth shall always prevail against falsehood, and the oppressors of the people shall be cast down.
