  • Lost Polling Unit To LP

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Adamu has failed to deliver his constituency to his party as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared Honourable Jonathan Gaza, member of the House of Representatives for keffi/kokona Federal Constituency of the Social Democratic Party, SDP as winner of Saturday’s election for Nasarawa constituency.

INEC Returning Officer, Professor George Genyi for the election declared Gaza winner with a total of 60,265 votes at the Keffi zonal collation centre.

Genyi said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Bulus Ishaku polled a total of 33,180 votes, LP candidate, lliya Gambo 29,665 and DPC, Aura Koro 28, 417 got a total of 28,417 Votes.

The Returning Officer however stated that Gaza Jonathan of the SDP, having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared winner and his returned elected.

It would be recalled that the APC national Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu has earlier lost his polling unit to the Labour Party, LP.
