A member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, representing Nasarawa central, Mr Sule Adamu, has died from complications related to COVID-19 after a nearly a week battle with the virus.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State confirmed this on Sunday while briefing newsmen on the update of COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

He said the State’s House of Assembly would be shut down and all the state lawmakers would be quarantined to contain the spread of the virus in the state.

Nasarawa recorded two new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday and the state’s tally stands at 9 as of the time of this reporting.
