Manchester United Manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has revealed that the club could be without forward Anthony Martial for the remainder of the season after he was injured on international duty.
Martial, picked up injury during his feature for France against Ukraine and Kazakhstan last week.
Speaking with newsmen about Martial’s injury status, Solskjaer revealed that losing him for the rest of the season is disappointing.
His words:
“Losing Anthony for what might be the rest of the season is very disappointing,” said Solskjaer.
“Reports from France were that it wasn’t serious but it looks a bad one.”
Solskjaer later added that the club “hope to get him back before the end of the season but we’re not sure”.
Martial has scored seven goals for United this season but has just three in 19 appearances in 2021.
Martial is a French professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the France national team.
Martial picked up injury while playing for his home team, France, in order to scale through the World Cup Qualifying group stage.
