Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr Hakeem Odumosu has made revelation on how the leader and founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly known as T. B. Joshua passed away.

The New Diplomat had reported that his church, SCOAN, had in a statement issued on Sunday confirmed the shocking demise of the Pastor.

Late Saturday, multiple reports had stated the popular televangelist died at age of 57 in Lagos, few days to his 58th birthday. The news immediately raised anxiety among Nigerians as it broke amid uncertainties.

Meanwhile, Odumosu, revealed that the televangelist left the church service he was conducting for his apartment, after he felt a bit uncomfortable.

According to Odumosu, many of his church members thought Joshua left the service because he needed to rest, however, after a long while they decided to check on the Pastor where they found him in “an unusual position.”

He further revealed that the televangelist was officially pronounced dead by a hospital around 3am.

In his words, “It is true he is dead. I do not know the cause of his death yet. But the information we have is that he was conducting service. Along the line, he felt uncomfortable, walked to his apartment himself and never came back.

“His people thought he probably wanted to rest or refresh but when they didn’t see him after a long while, they went in search of him and found him in an unusual position.

“The service started in the evening. But it was around 3am that he was pronounced dead by a hospital.”

Meanwhile, according to a family source who spoke with the newsmen, Joshua had been ill in past two days.

The source disclosed that the man of God was on his way to the hospital to seek medical care when he gave up the ghost.

“Yesterday evening, he led a service. He had been ill for the past two days. After the evening performance, he decided to go to the hospital.

“On his way to the hospital, he passed away,” a source close to the family reportedly revealed.

He died on his way to the hospital yesterday evening, after performing a church function.

The remains of the prophet has however been deposited at a morgue in Isolo General Hospital in Lagos State.

Joshua died at the age of 57, a few days to his 58th birthday which is June 12.

The deceased was born on June 12, 1963, in Arigidi, Akoko axis, Ondo State.

TB Joshua’s megachurch runs the Emmanuel TV television station from Lagos.

His YouTube channel, Emmanuel TV, had over 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers.

The channel was the world’s most viewed Christian ministry on the platform before it was suspended.

He was also known for his philanthropy attributes. He significantly impacted my lives throughout his lifetime.

Prophet TB Joshua’s famed around the world for his prophecies and healing of the sick as well as casting out of demons.
