Former military Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd.) has been reportedly hit by a partial stroke.

It was reported that Abubakar was rushed out of the country about three weeks ago to receive medical treatment.

A family source who spoke with the members of the press said the former Head of State was first flown to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for the medical attention.

He was reported to have been thereafter admitted at a Specialist Hospital in the United Kingdom.

According to the reliable source, the former military Head of State was accompanied on the trip abroad by his wife and former First Lady Justice Fati Lami Abubakar.

Meanwhile, it remains sketchy as of press time, the details about the medical condition of the former head of state as efforts to reach the family proved abortive.
