Against backdrop of the unfolding face-off between Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy Phillip Shuaibu, the Patriotic Edo Front, EPF, has lashed out againt Shuaibu.

According to the group, the viral video making the rounds purporting that Governor Obaseki locked out his deputy is an amateurish hatchet job meant to mislead the Edo people and Nigerians at large.

“The deputy governor had exhibited extreme greed, undue political ambition which can only take Edo State to perdition,” the group said.

It further added that, “Shuaibu is displaying needless drama and putting Edo in a very bad light.

“The deputy governor should reduce his unbridled ambition, dramatic posturing and comport himself like a responsible man.”

It would be recalled last week, a letter from the office of the Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa, was sent to the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Deputy Governor directing Shuaibu to relocate to a new office situated at No 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue, GRA, Benin City.

But Shaibu, a former majority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly on Monday said he is yet to receive any official notice to the effect.
