Former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has successfully underwent back surgery in an undisclosed hospital outside the shores of the country.

This was disclosed in a terse statement issued by Fayose’s Special Assistant on New Media and Publicity, Lere Olayinka.

Olayinka who took to his Facebook page to issue the statement said the surgery was as a result of the attack on him during the 2018 Ekiti governorship election.

According to him, Fayose had initially undergone neck surgery in February, saying that he has done two surgical operations in five months.

“Fayose did two surgical operations in five months. Two major surgical operations within five months.

“One in February (Neck) and another one now (back). Results of the attack on him during the 2018 Ekiti governorship election. It can only be God. Soonest recovery Osokomole,” the post reads.
