Nigerians have begun to react to Saturday’s meeting between the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG),  Pastor E.A Adeboye and the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.

Pastor Adeboye who disclosed the purpose of the meeting on his official Facebook page said he was in Ekiti State for the ordination of 1,000 Ministers of God of RCCG in the state.

His word reads, “I had the privilege of visiting my Children who are Ordained Ministers of the RCCG in Ekiti state today.”

Going further, the. Osun State-born man of God said Fayemi and members of the RCCG in his cabinet invited him to the State House for a session of prayers.

He added that, “His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Doctor Kayode Fayemi with my Children in his Cabinet requested that it would be their pleasure to host me in the state house for a session of prayers for the State.

“It is my prayer that Ekiti State and her people will continue to be prosperous and the protection of God will always be available for them in JESUS name (Amen)”

On his part, Fayemi recounted how the RCCG had grown under the leadership of the General Overseer, Pastor. Adeboye.

He prayed that God will heal our land and grant Nigerians and Nigeria a testimony.

His statement reads, “We need prayers, we need a lot of help, our people are very very prayerful, and we know the development RCCG has witnessed under your leadership, particularly in our own setting here.

“We pray that God will continue to be good to us and heal the land and in a moment, all of us will have testimony to the good works of the Lord,” Fayemi said.

However, Nigerians in their reactions urged Adeboye to talk to leaders to steer the affairs of the country right, while some advised the clergy to steer clear of politicians.

Below are the reactions:

Abutu Gabriel Jacob:
“Hope Daddy GO is not turning political! From Kaduna to Ekiti. Kaduna “El Rufai allegedly sponsor of BH. We have not forgotten the body bag comment by El Rufai during the election or the Muslim Muslim Ticket .Today he is been mentioned as a kind person by Daddy GO! The Church can never and would not be politically Correct rather The Word Correct.”

Pavel Olumide Ebenezer:
“Seeing the General Overseer with all these fake politicians is a big problem! Baba should let them be. Because they are living in heaven on Earth. You Know what I mean”

-@Folorunsho
“Dear sir, you need to speak the truth to Authorities so that they will know that what they are doing is not right”

-Ifeoluwa O’Dami:
“Tell them the truth for once. The wrath of God is the lot of every wicked leader. They may appear to prosper in earthly things but their end will be disastrous.”

-Bright Johnson:
“Sir all they want to hear is the truth daddy G.O these your sons are not going the way you trained them, they need to be spanked ,your grandchildren ( WE) are dying as a result of their irregularities and incompetence.”

-Taiwo Isaac:
“God bless you Dady even though i live in Lagos but Your coming to my state signifies God passing through Ekiti for Liberation from political slave trade where an incoming Governor throw people Once employed to labour market for not being his party member, I strongly believe God will truly restructure Political Leaders in EKITI towards Believing indigenes remain indigenes as far as Ekiti is concerned. It’s not supposed to happen that way. God renews your strength and increases Your anointing Shalom.”

-O Jay Johnson:
“Amen. Let them also hea the truth, not just prayers. The state of roads in ekiti and ondo state is not good and the people there are suffering”

-Ademola
“Hope this tour is going to end FULANI herdsmen killing and bandits in kaduna.”

-Biobaku AK Kenny Bio
“As a well respected clergyman sir ,your visit to Nigerian politician is becoming too much, the other day with the fanatic El rufai.”

Recall The New Diplomat earlier reported that Pastor Adeboye had last week visited Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai at the Kaduna State Government House.

According to Pastor Adeboye, he was invited to the government house by Governor El-Rufai after he had met with the eight RCCG members that were kidnapped and later released by bandits.
