Former Chelsea FC legend and African footballer award winner, Didier Drogba today became the first non-European to win the UEFA President Award.

Didier Drogba award came following not just his outstanding performance in the game but his contributions to the development of his community.

Drogba in his response said, ” I am proud of this and this should be an example to African people- dedication and hard work. Football unites people, and giving back to the people reflects what football is.”

Recall that Didier Drogba has been the United Nations Ambassador for development program.
