- Inauguration of Delta State APC Campaign Council for Inauguration Today
The Tinubu/Omo-Agege APC One-Million March which took place yesterday in the twin cities of Effurun and Warri was largely successful, The New Diplomat can report.
As early as 8 a.m of yesterday APC members from different parts of the state arrived in hundreds of commuter buses at the popular PTI Junction, the venue for the take-off point.
The rally which was put together by the APC Delta Central Coordinator of the Omo-Agege Campaign Organization, Olorogun Dr Ominimini Obiuwevbi, against all odds, took over the major highway through the ever-busy Effurun round-about creating heavy traffic gridlock through the Effurun/Sapele road to the popular Airport Junction.
After addressing the mammoth crowd of Warri/Effurun citizens that converged at the junction, the rally which at that point had already attracted more than a million people proceeded back to the PTI junction and on to the DSC round-about before finally moving to the PTI Conference Centre where Olorogun Ominimini addressed a world press conference.
Fielding questions from newsmen, Ominimini called on Deltans to vote for the APC candidates from the presidential to the House of Assembly, especially for the APC Governorship Candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, and the presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, in the 2023 election.
Obiuwevbi described the over two decades of the PDP government in Delta State as a disaster, adding that it was time to kick out the party and occupy the Dennis Osadebe Government House as from May 29, 2023.
“Okowa has destroyed Delta State. Today, in Delta, there are no good roads. If you drive your car on the roads for one week, you must go to the mechanic workshop. Anybody valuing Okowa as Road Master, that person must go to ‘Hell Fire’.
“In spite of the huge resources that are coming to the oil State in Southern Nigeria, Delta State receives the highest allocation from the 13%, there is no industries to show for it.
“Okowa could not build one industry. He knows that PDP cannot take over the state again. That is why he keeps borrowing money for the next APC government to pay. But we are not worried. Omo-Agege is capable.
“Omo-Agege as a Senator from Delta Central, if you see the projects he has attracted to Delta State, the PDP government has not been able to achieve that in the past 16 years. So, at this moment, in fact, we give kudos to Omo-Agege.
“He has so much capacity. He is very accessible to people. In fact, this is a quit notice to the Okowa PDP government, carry your load and go.
“God has given us Senator Ovie Omo-Agege. By the grace of God, he is the next governor of Delta State. By May 29, 2023, all roads lead to Asaba for the inauguration of the APC government”, Ominimini said.
He further assured that the APC is ready to take over Delta State, adding that all the APC candidates in the state are very viable.
“This is the beginning of the solidarity March for Tinubu and Omo-Agege. The Asaba rally shall be another blast. We are ready to deliver Delta State to APC.
“And all the APC candidates in Delta State. They are viable. Look at the Deputy Governorship Candidate to Omo-Agege, Osanebi, he is a material. He is a lovable person. He is a philanthropist. Omo-Agege and Osanebi are square pegs in a square hole”, he said.
Earlier, Ominimini had eulogised the sterling leadership qualities of Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, adding that his model of governance in Lagos State has been copied by the federal government and most states of the federation, including Delta State.
Meanwhile, all is now set for the inauguration of Delta State. APC Campaign Organization Council.
In a statement signed by the Director, Media and Communication Strategy, Delta APC Gubernatorial Campaign Organization, Mr Ima Niboro disclosed that the event slated for Asaba, today, October 24, will be inaugurated by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
