Delta 2023: Group Endorses Omo-Agege For Next Delta Governor

…Urges Deltans to judge him by his record of performance

A renowned and strong political pressure group, the Concerned Nigerians For Better Nigeria (CNBN), has unanimously endorsed the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, as its choice of the next governor of Delta State.

The group which made this known at the conclusion of its tour of major projects in Delta Central Senatorial district in Udu recently, also described the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, as the most outstanding politician in the country.

Addressing a press conference in Udu after the tour, the chairman of CNBN,
Godwin Obire, praised the Obarisi of Urhoboland for his policy of accountability, transparency and prudent management of resources.

“There are several reasons why Ovie Omo Agege should be voted as governor of Delta State come 2023.

“Practically, all over the eight local government council areas of Delta Central Senatorial District, his development thrust are there for all to see,’’ Obire said.

Expressing satisfaction with the level of transformation and the quality of projects Omo-Agege has attracted to Urhoboland, the group stated that, “We are fascinated by the quality of work on all projects executed by the Deputy President Of the Senate, Olorogun Ovie Omo Agege”

The group scored the Deputy President Of the Senate high for his meticulous utilization of scarce resources, inclusive strategy, job creation and human capital development programme, thanking him for his unparalleled achievements and style of leadership.

While commending the DSP for his strategic projects which include
renovation and building schools, empowerment of the people and the lighting up of Delta Central with uncountable electrification projects and massive distribution of transformers across communities, Obire noted that Omo-Agege ensured equitable distribution of appointments, social investment programmes and palliatives to cushion the effect of the lockdown on his constituents.

According to the group, the DSP’s youth empowerment is one of the most significant economic programmes for youths across the country.

He commended the DSP for connecting a lot of communities that had been in darkness with electricity, providing rural communities with potable water and giving priority to the health, education, environment, women and youths

Obire said Ovie Omo Agege should be judged in 2023 strictly by his record of performance.

‘’DSP Ovie Omo Agege has a consistent political character. He is reliable. It is based on the track record and sterling qualities of the DSP that notable people in the state are urging him to contest the governorship in 2023,’’ the group noted.
