The General Overseer of Mercy Land Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin in collaboration with his Foundation, has donated food, protective devices and cash worth N400 million to Nigerians who are constrained to stay at home this period to checkmate the spread of the dreaded Covid-19 disease.

The items which include hundreds of thousands cartons of indomie noodles and protective materials was sponsored by the Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin Foundation.
The indomie noodles which were contained in a trailer was handed over to the state government today at the church premises situated along Effurun-Sapele Road, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State.

Handing over the items to the state government, Prophet Fufeyin who is also the CEO, of the Foundation stated that at this critical time, it was necessary to show love by assisting the government to provide relief materials and cash assistance for millions of people who have been cocooned in their homes for the safety of their lives from the dreaded virus, adding the it was the Foundation’s contribution for the assistance.

He said “This is the time to show love. As a ministry, we felt there is the need to reach out to our brothers and sisters who are currently complying with the stay-at-home order of the government by providing them with food, protective items and cash to assist them.
“The items we are giving out today include a trailer load of cartons of indomie noodles, sanitizers and face masks.

“We have also commenced the cash disbursement of over N250 million to individual Nigerians as part of our package of assistance.
“We feel that as a ministry whose vision is mercy and love, it is our duty to reach out to millions of Nigerians with our up resources and prayer.
“I’m also appealing to men of God all over the world and to show love because this is the time to show love. They should come out to assist the government because it cannot do it alone.”

Prophet Fufeyin encouraged Nigerians not to be afraid of the Coronavirus, adding that the church and body of Christ is praying and God will roll it away.
He also encouraged Nigerians to comply with all the sanitary instruction and remain at home till the scourge is over.
Prophet Fufeyin reminded the people that God allowed the plague to bring people closer to Him and abhor sin.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Delta State government, a member of the State executive council, Hon. Kelly Benawei thanked the Foundation, particularly the Prophet for his kind gesture, adding that the governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa appreciates it.
He said “On behalf of the governor and the people of Delta State, we say thank you for this kind gesture to the state and for your support for the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We receive your gift. We shall pass it to the governor and you will hear from him. Thank you very much.”

Fielding questions from newsmen shortly after the handing over of the items, Hon. Ramson Onoyake, chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, commended the Foundation, particularly the CEO, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, for the kind gesture.
The LGA chairman expressed satisfaction for the donation, adding that it will go a long way to assist the government to reach out to the people.

He assured that at the local government level which is the grassroots, “we have succeeded in sensitizing the people in every nooks and crannies of the local government area.”
Also speaking, the chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Michael Tidi, thanked Prophet Fufeyin for the gesture, calling on other well-meaning Nigerians and religious bodies to emulate the Foundation to assist the government in these trying times.
Earlier, the General Overseer of the Mercy Land Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, had disclosed that the Foundation has set aside N250 million cash which they have started disbursing to individual Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to support them at this time that they are at home because of the spread of the virus.

According to him, the Foundation has two telephone numbers: 09067827643 and 07031944514 to which Nigerians can call the Foundation in the mornings and in the evenings and they will receive answers requesting for their account numbers and their Banks, adding that they will receive credit alerts immediately which ranges between N10,000 and N20,000.
A member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Burutu Constituency, who is also a member of the Foundation, Hon. Asupa Forteta, stated that the Ministry was prepared to assist the government both in prayers and in kind, to reach out to millions of people who need help.

The highpoint of the ceremony was the formal handing over the the indomie noodles and other protective items Present at the occasion are the General Overseer of the Mercy Land Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, Hon. Kelly Benawei, Hon. Asupa Forteta, Hon. Ramson Onoyake, Hon. Dr. Michael Tidi and the director, Government House Annex, Warri among other dignitaries.
