The New Diplomat reports that this comes after the Supreme Court of Nigeria delivered a series of judgments regarding the political landscape of Rivers State.
The Supreme Court barred the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from releasing federal allocations to the Rivers State Government. The apex court also nullified the recently held local government elections in the oil-rich state.
