  • 2 daughters, 2 aides infected

The deadly coronavirus has claimed the life of Mrs. Folasade Diya, one of the wives of General Oladipupo Diya, a former Chief of General Staff and ex-Military Governor of Ogun State.

A very reliable source said she was confirmed dead recently as a result of complications arising from coronavirus.

She was said to have died at First Cardiologists, Ikoyi, Lagos, the same hospital where Mallam Abba Kyari, then Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, also died from coronavirus.

“Folasade died yesterday and unfortunately, most members of the General’s household are infected. The house at Ikeja is now vacant and undergoing fumigation. May God rest her gentle soul” the source said.

The source said Mrs Diya might have been infected by her domestic aides who run errands as the Diyas hardly go out.

A source also said two of her daughters and two aides have also tested positive to COVID-19 while General Diya was said to have tested negative.

Recall that Sundiata Post had earlier reported the demise of Folasade.
