The fleeing suspected serial killer, Mr Sunday Shodipe has been rearrested in Akinyele area of Ibadan by the Oyo State Police Command.

The 19-year old alleged murderer escaped from detention almost a week ago.

Oyo State, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi has confirmed the rearrest.

He said details would be made available shortly.

Fadeyi confirmed the suspect, Shodipe has been kept in safer custody.

It would be recalled that Inspector General of Police, Mr Muhammned Adamu sent a crack team of detectives to complement the efforts of the officers of the command after Shodipe’s escaped from custody.

Oyo Commissioner of Police, Mr Chuks Enwonwu, also placed a N500,000 bounty on the suspected serial killer.
