Social Critic, Reno Omokri and some fans are among the people who had something to say about the GoFundMe page raised for disqualified BBNaija Lockdown housemate, Erica Nlewedim.

Omokri and some fans took to their Twitter page to air their thoughts about the fund that is being raised for the evicted housemate as they lamented over how Nigerian youths have lost their voices on an array of issues currently confronting the country.

According to Omokri, it took just five hours for some youths to raise N5m for Erica but they couldn’t raise the same money in five months to unseat President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 elections.

According to him, youths are always looking for people to act on their behalf when it comes to important issues but act for themselves when it comes to frivolous matters.

“In 5 hours, Nigerians raised $15,000 for #BBNaija’s Erica. In 5 days, the same Nigerians have not been able to raise any resistance to General Buhari’s increase of fuel and electricity costs. If you talk, some Nigerians will say come and lead the protest. Who led them to raise a record breaking $15,000 in 5 hours? We can act spontaneously for irrelevancies, but we are looking for others to act for us on relevant things! Nigeria deserves General Buhari!” Omokri wrote.

“You say the government & private sector companies don’t take education and personal development serious. But not a single soul has created a gofundme for me or any careers & personal development coach on this app, with all the inspiring & empowering content we share. Is it fair?”@OgbeniDipo

“Not even for you… Like let’s do go fund me for 100 CV Reviews… 100 participants masterclass… Highest with a little discount… No… Just imagine nonsense… Our black color enter our brain… The whites are better… Forget racism… I’m disappoint end in myself.”@Ngowke_Ifeanyi

“They opened a GoFundMe account for Erica and you’re donating money, but your family and friends and neighbors are poor. You’re mad!”@Sonjoe_Kutuh

“So you carry your hard earned money, inside this pandemic, with petrol @ 160, with all the troubles in this country donate to Erica’s GoFundMe?”@Skin_herbal
