The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has arrived Kano State on Sunday.

The presidential candidate made this known of his verified social media accounts.

Also Vice Presidential Candidate Ifeanyi Okowa, former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, the National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, and a former governor of Jigawa state, Sule Lamido, and many other party bigwigs have touched down in the state.

“I just touched down at the Centre of Commerce, Kano State. The next few days are set to be very productive,” Atiku said on his Twitter handle.

With his arrival in Kano state, Atiku is expected to welcome former governor of the state, Ibrahim Shekarau back to the PDP.

The former Kano Governor, who is the incumbent senator for Kano Central District, said he was leaving the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) over the party’s refusal to implement the terms of an agreement it reached with the group before his defection to the party in May.
