Fifteen abducted students of Bethel Baptist High School, located along the Kaduna-Kachia highway, Damishi, in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna, have been released from captivity.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev Joseph Hayab.

Hayab added that the 15 students were released by their abductors in the late hours of Saturday. He, however failed to disclose if any ransom was paid to secure the release of the students.

The Chairman also disclosed that the students are currently receiving medical attention and would be handed over to their parents as soon as possible.

Recall that some armed bandits stormed the Bethel Baptist school premises in the early hours of July 5, 2021 and abuducted about 121 students. On July 25, 2021, 28 students out of the 121 abducted students were released by the bandits after N50m ransom was reportedly paid.
