Men of the Nigeria Police Force on Saturday reportedly arrested one of the promoters of EndSARS protests, Mr Peter Adene Eromosele.

Eromosele who is a graduate of Computer Engineering was said to have been arrested at his ikeja residence in Lagos and taken to the Lagos State Police Command where he wrote a statement.

Recall that the Lagos State Police Command has vowed to resist any form of protest in the state.

Although the right to peaceful gathering and association is enshrined in Nigeria’s constitution, Mr Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Lagos Police spokesperson, in a statement on Thursday said it will not allow any form of protests or gathering to hold in the state.

The New Diplomat had reported that Nigerian Government through the Central Bank of Nigeria earlier in the week obtained a court order to freeze the bank accounts of some EndSARS participants and promoters, sparking outrage among citizens.
