On Wednesday, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva led a delegation comprising the Bayelsa State Governor-elect, Chief David Lyon and deputy Governor-elect, Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo on a thank you visit to former President Goodluck Jonathan and his lovely wife, Patience.

The thank you visit by the Governor-elect and his team culminated with former President Jonathan’s 62nd birthday anniversary.

Recall The New Diplomat reported that Jonathan  played a critical role in ensuring Lyon, who was the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) significantly defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Douye Diri during the Saturday gubernatorial poll in Bayelsa.

Following his triumph at the polls, Lyon had also visited President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday at the Aso Rock Villa.
