Immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has debunked reports claiming that he he has left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Omo-Agege, the Obarisi of Urhoboland and Delta State APC governorship candidate in the 2023 governorship elections described the report as the handiwork of political my mischievous elements whose stock in trade is to cause mischief by painting people black.
The former Deputy Senate President also dismissed the report implying that he is joining or has joined a group called Team New Nigerian (TNN).
He maintained that the report is “completely false and malicious.”
According to Omo-Agege, the 2023 governorship candidate of the APC in Delta State, he remains committed to the APC party and the goals, vision and renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement issued by his office and signed by his Special Adviser, Godwin Anaughe, Omo-Agege reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to the renewed hope of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The statement reads in part: “Senator Omo-Agege is not a member, has never been a member, has no intention of becoming a member, and is not even familiar with the TNN.”
Omo-Agege also reaffirmed utmost confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and vision for a prosperous Nigeria, where every citizen has access to opportunities, resources, and a better life.
