The Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), has suffered mass defections in recent times as more aides, loyal to the Okowa-led administration has tendered their resignation letter and also renounced their PDP membership.
The most recent of them is the resignation of the Senior Special Assistant on Community Development, Honourable Godwin Hassah.
Hassah, in his letter of resignation, dated 24th January, 2023, and addressed to the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, through the office of the SSG, did not state the reasons for his resignation but noted that everything that has beginning must have end.

LETTER OF REGINATION AS SSA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
I humbly wish to notify you by bringing/drawing your attention to the above subject matter, that with effect from today, the 24th of January, 2023, I HON. GODWIN HASSAH, SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT under the office of the Special Adviser on Rural & Community Development to the Governor of Delta State do hereby resign my appointment of same.
I want to thank Your Excellency for finding me worthy to have been appointed to contribute my quota but like the saying goes, everything in life that has a beginning, has a terminal date and I have come to the end of my participation in this Government. God bless you sir.
