Cristiano Ronaldo has sealed a record-breaking contract worth £173 million per year with Saudi Arabia’s club side, Al Nassr.

According to reports, Ronaldo is rumoured to have sensationally signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Al Nassr earning an eye-watering £172.9 million per year that will see him play until the age of 40.

However, sources in Spain today suggest that the “dizzying sums” have been negotiated. Sources close to the former Real Madrid and Juventus superstar insist that no deal has been inked and that Ronaldo is still concentrating on the World Cup with his country.

It would be recalled that the 37-year contract with Manchester United was terminated earlier this month as a result of a rocky relationship with the club’s management that got even worse after he made several contentious claims in a TV interview with Piers Morgan.

The Portugal international wanted to leave Old Trafford in the summer, but he was adamant about playing in the Champions League, therefore his demand was not granted.

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently playing for Portugal at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. In the most recent World Cup, he became the only player to score five goals. This summer, Ronaldo will leave Old Trafford. He didn’t get his wish to participate in the Champions League, according to reports. One of the most prosperous football clubs in Saudi Arabia is Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo, a former Real Madrid player declined to relocate to Saudi Arabia last summer, but without any real interest from Europe’s top teams, he now appears destined to do so.
