One of the frontline presidential candidates in the 2023 elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been enmeshed in more woes as a new document by Deloitte, a leading audit and consulting company based in the US has revealed the former governor of Lagos was never on its employment records.

The US company stated that Tinubu never worked with the firm at any time.

This came on the heels of an interview with TheNews Magazine, where Tinubu had claimed he had a salary deposit of about $1.8 million while working with Deloitte and Touche.

However, Deloitte while responding to a subpoena ordering it to make available Tinubu’s bonus history with the organisation, said it could not produce any record about the names sent for inquiry.

An investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, had subpoenaed Deloitte USA for the employment records of the APC standard-bearer.

“Dear Mr Kowals, we received a subpoena 16 September 2022, seeking employment records for Bola Tinubu, SSN…. Please be advised that we have no record of Bola Tinubu in our systems, and as such have no employment records for them,” the letter signed by Tish Negron, Senior Legal Specialist of Deloitte read.

Meanwhile, Tinubu was yet to react to this latest revelation.
