Nigeria’s Vice-President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has on Thursday picked the nomination and expression of interest forms of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

One of the leaders of Osinbajo’s campaign, Senator Kabiru Gaya picked up the forms on behalf of the Vice President.

Osinbajo, who joined the presidential race last month, has been going round the country to consult delegates ahead of the primaries which will hold at the end of this month.

The APC has now extended the form sale by four days.

However, the Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, has declared his interest to join the race, under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

It was learnt that the Minister will formally declare his interest for the position of the president on Friday at the NUJ International Press Centre in Abuja.

The minister of Niger Delta affairs, Godswill Akpabio; Kayode Fayemi, governor of Ekiti and Adams Oshiomhole, a former governor of Edo; all formally declared their interest to run for president. While other presidential hopefuls on the platform of the APC include Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation; Bola Tinubu, former Lagos governor.

Also, Dave Umahi, governor of Ebonyi; Rochas Okorocha, former governor of Imo; Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi, and Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, minister of state for education; Chris Ngige, minister of labour and employment, have also announced their presidential ambition, while Jigawa State governor, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, is said to have also joined the presidential race and had purchased APC’s N100 million nomination forms.
