Former President of the United States of America (USA), Donald Trump has reacted to the attack launched by Russia on Ukraine, blaming President Joe Biden for events that precipitated the invasion.

On Thursday morning, the Russian military forces launched a mammoth attack on historic neighbour-Ukraine, invading its strategic cities.

The attack came shortly after the Russian president, Vladimir Putin declared a “special military operation” in Ukraine. Putin who spoke during a press conference televised early Thursday said the country is launching the special military operation because claimed “a hostile anti-Russia is being created on our historic lands.”

Following the Russian invasion, explosions have been heard near major Ukrainian cities, including capital Kyiv.

Speaking during an interview with Fox News, Trump claimed that Russia’s move was due to the weakness of Biden-led administration, claiming the attack would never have happened during his time as the president of the country.

In his words: “He [Mr Putin] was going to be satisfied with a piece and now he sees the weakness and the incompetence and the stupidity of this administration.

“As an American I’m angry about it and saddened by it. The whole thing should never have happened, and it would never have happened during my administration.

“As an American I am angry about it and I am saddened by it. And it all happened because of a rigged election.

“That includes inflation and that includes millions of people pouring in on a monthly basis, far more than 3 million people.”

Trump added: “And they are coming from a 129 different countries and we have no idea what is happening. And they are destroying our country.”
