One man was killed and many cows rustled when a Fulani settlement around Barakallahu community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State was attacked by Bandits in the early hours of Monday.
The community leader, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi, told journalists that, the incident occurred around 12:15am
and identified the victim as Imam Abubakar.
He recalled, “Around midnight, we started hearing gunshots. They (gunmen) must have shot 50 times before they finally left the community.”
Abdullah said he was told that the gunmen took away many cattle, but that he was yet to confirm the number as he was on his way to see the affected family.
When contacted, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige, promised to get in touch with the DPO in charge of the area and get back to our Correspondent.
However, he had not got back at the time of filing this report.
