Ace comic actor, Babatunde Omidina populary known as Baba Suwe, has been committed to mother earth, Thursday, amid an ocean of tears and sorrow from families and well-wishers.

The legendary actor was laid to rest at his residence in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state, in line with Islamic practices, the religion he practiced before his demise.

The burial rites which was well attended by several family members and celebrities began at about 10am, as many sympathisers could not hold back tears.

Born on August 22, 1958, Baba Suwe passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021, after suffering an undisclosed illness.

Baba Suwe began acting in 1971, but became famous after he featured in a movie titled ‘Omolasan’ which was produced by Obalende.

He became a household name after he featured in ‘Iru Esin’, produced by Olaiya Igwe in 1997.

He is survived by his three children, numerous grandchildren, aged mother and family.
