The First City Monument Bank (FCMB) on Tuesday said its under-fire Managing Director, Adam Nuru has embarked on a leave as the bank launches probe into the allegations of sexual misconducts against him.

The bank in a statement said its board recommended Nuru should go on a leave to ensure the sanctity of the investigation into the paternity Brouhaha that has sparked reputational crisis for the bank.

At the root of the allegation are two children allegedly delivered for the FCMB boss by Moyo Thomas outside of her wedlock with Tunde Thomas.

Thomas died of heart attack after discovering he has been fathering the two children that the extra-marital affair between Nuru and his wife, Moyo produced.

Moyo, who took to her heels with the two children is reportedly in the United States presently. She had worked under Nuru at the bank before she quite her role about two years ago.

The FCMB management on Tuesday released a statement to give update on the bank’s probe into the matter concerning its MD as it continues to trigger unethical concerns at the financial institution.

The statement was entitled: ‘FIRST CITY MONUMENT BANK A MEMBER OF FCMB GROUP PLC PUBLIC NOTICE’

It read thus: “We are aware of several stories circulating across several media platforms about our bank’s Managing Director Adam Nuru, a former employee Mrs Moyo Thomas and her deceased husband, Mr Tunde Thomas.

“While this is a personal matter, the tragedy of the death of Mr Tunde Thomas and the allegations of unethical conduct require the bank’s board to conduct a review of what transpired, any violations of our code of ethics and the adequacy of this code of ethics. This is already under way.

“During the period of the review, the Managing Director has volunteered to proceed on leave. This will guarantee the sanctity of the review process.

“We enjoin all our stakeholders to bear with us as we conduct this review and to please respect the various families involved.” FCMB said.
