A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and legal icon, Olorogun (Barrister) Fred Majemite has re-echoed the Urhobo nation’s leaders decision to mobilize Delta Central votes for Gov. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, come 2019.

Majemite made the assertion recently in Asaba, when he played host to the Executive Assistant on Communication to His Excellency the Governor of Delta State, Dr. (Barr.) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe.

He said that the Urhobo 2019 agenda is to give the governor full support for the sake of equity and the enviable performance of the Okowa administration, especially for fulfilling his electoral promises to Urhobo nation and to the good people of Delta State.

He said:  “The governor gave us the slots of Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Finance Commissioner, Commerce and Industry Commissioner, DESOPADEC MD, Commissioner for Works, Special Advisers, Executives Assistants and several others. We no longer have excuses in terms of equitable distribution of development and political appointments. The governor is a promise keeper and we are pleased.

“PDP Delta Central will not present governorship aspirants in 2019, rather we shall massively mobilize our people and Okowa shall be our consensus principal and candidate. It’s a done deal. Chief James Ibori said it and so shall it be by the grace of God.

Some of our brothers and sisters in APC party are the ones grumbling and murmuring; using 2019 Urhobo Governorship as a divisive tool to pursue their selfish political interests. Our people will not fall for their deceitful agenda. Okowa is our Choice 2019.”

Majemite averred that the Urhobo PDP trust the pedigree of Gov. Okowa, adding that it was the sole reason they will throw their support behind him in 2019.
