Ogun State governorship aspirant, Prince Aderibigbe Adeleke Tella has assured electorates that he has “a well designed model” to run good governance and unlock numerous potentials that had hitherto remain idle, if made the fifth civilian Governor of the Gateway state next year, after incumbent helmsman, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun.
Prince Tella who was the Coordinator of Buhari/Osinbajo campaign team in Ogun West during the 2015 presidential election hopes to get the nod of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to become the party’s torchbearer in the 2019 Guber poll.
Speaking over the weekend at an event organized by Omooba Tella Food Foundation in Idiroko (Nigeria’s border town with Benin Republic), to celebrate and award party leaders, Tella said his governance model was developed through several consultations he has had with people of different age brackets, creed and interest groups across the state.

In his words: “I have consulted widely with elders, women and youths and had commissioned and received a well designed model with which to work with the party from the grassroot to the state and to the national level.
“I have a template on how to work with the civil service, business communities from SMEs to multinationals; traditional rulers, community development councils, various associations and even religious groups,” he stated.
Highlighting part of his blueprint to further expand the state’s economy and prosperity, he told The New Diplomat during a media chat that he intends to maximize potentials in the creative industry, agriculture and infrastructural development to drive business activities and job creation in the state.
“I would like to talk about the state of California in America, California has the 6th largest economy in the world and what’s the mainstay of that economy? The creative industry and agriculture. Today I happens to be an investor in the creative industry and I know the value of what I can unlock from the international organizations in the creative industry.
“You’re going to see an unimaginable IGR for the state and unimaginable infrastructure. I’m going to go the trajectory of Mr. Governor (Amosun). You will see a lot of roads that will link up with the hinterlands of Ogun. Come 2019, in the first year, my government will employ a minimum of 10,000 youths. We’ve got the idea, it’s not gainsaying, we know it, we can navigate the future of Ogun.” Tella promised.
Currently, there are lot of talks and permutations on the prospect of Ogun West producing a Governor for the first time since the state’s creation and Tella is confident that the Yewa/Aworis will actualize the dream this time.

“Ogun West time is now, over 40 years since the creation of the state we have had 2 Governors each from Ogun East and Ogun Central. I assure you what we are doing is to instill political awareness in the people for them to go and get their PVC. That’s the instrument we are going to use to unlock the future of Ogun West and make Yewa/Awori Governor a reality. And by the grace of God come 2019 you will see me emerging as the Governor of the state, so help me God.
“Talking about galvanizing support, all the activities as you have seen here today were geared towards getting the Ogun state governorhip seat in 2019 and across party lines you can see a lot of people here that are not even members of our party who have come to identify with me and I want to assure you come 2019, you will see the value of grassroot politicking. They are giving us the support not because it’s a rented crowd, but because these are people who are interested in identifying with me,” he added.
While commending party Chieftains for their support, Tella said: “I want to appreciate party leaders for their steadfastness and what they’ve been doing in politics, by navigating the future of Ogun West. It’s important we celebrate those who are still living and those who have gone to the grave beyond to appreciate their support and contribution over the years.”
