An Islamic cleric, Sheik Saleh Zaria, has described the action of Sheik Ibrahim El-zakzaky and his supporters in Zaria as complete deviation of the registered Shi’a organisation in the country.

Zaria made the remark at a one-day interactive session between RASULUL A’AZAM FOUNDATION (RAAF) (Registered Shi’a organisation), journalists, security agents and other stakeholders in Kano on Wednesday.

According to him, as a registered Shi’a organisation with the Corporate Affairs Commission under CAMA part C with registration number: 18246, was against lawlessness and disrespect to constituted authority.

“We denounce any action by any person or group which goes contrary to the laws of the country. We are also against the idea of procession or blocking road for other users, terrorism and sedition,” he said.

He added that members of RAAF would continue to operate within the ambit of the law of the land, seek redress instead of taking law into their hands for peaceful coexistence in the country.

He said the interactive session was organised to build cordial relationship between the Shi’a group and security agencies.
