Senator Ede Dafinone, the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District of Delta State in the Senate, has felicitated with the immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, CFR, as he celebrates his 61st birthday.

The Federal lawmaker, in a statement issued on Saturday, described Omo-Agege, the Obarisi of Urhoboland, as a distinguished leader who has continued to be a source of inspiration for several others.

Dafinone said the illustrious career of Omo-Agege has seen him transforming the lives of several people as well as impacting on communities.

He wished the former lawmaker good health, long life and strength to continue serving his people.

The statement reads in part: “It is with great joy and admiration that I extend my warmest wishes to you on the occasion of your 61st birthday. As a distinguished leader and a cherished brother, your life and work have been a source of inspiration to countless others across Delta Central and beyond. Your commitment to service and leadership continues to shape our political landscape in transformative ways.

“Throughout your illustrious career, you have demonstrated an unwavering dedication to the welfare of our people and the progress of our beloved nation. Your tenure as the Deputy President of the Senate was marked by significant legislative achievements and impactful initiatives that have left an indelible mark on our society.

“On a personal note, your support and camaraderie have been invaluable to me. As a brother, you have always extended a hand of friendship and guidance, offering wisdom and encouragement that have greatly enriched my journey in public service.

“As you celebrate this milestone, I wish you continued success, good health, and abundant happiness. May this new chapter of your life be filled with even more accomplishments and cherished moments with family and loved ones. Your legacy as a leader and a brother will continue to inspire future generations to uphold the values of integrity, courage, and service.
