The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has revealed why he will be at the vanguard of the re-election campaign of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Wike, the immediate past governor of Rivers State, who spoke on Monday at a press conference in Abuja said his stance that the presidency must go to the Southern part of Nigeria after eight-years of former President Muhammadu Buhari who is a Northerner, has not changed.

He also added that he will ensure that Tinubu has the highest number of votes in the FCT in 2027. When asked if he will lead the APC campaign in 2027, Wike said, “I have told you this before. Is it because I am in Asiwaju’s presidency?

“Are you not aware I will lead his campaign in Rivers State? You want me to say no?

“Are you not aware that he didn’t get up to 10 per cent here, FCT? But he will win here. Are you not aware?

“Stop asking me questions you know.
“Of course, you know. Is that hidden.cBecause I have said the South must produce the president.”
