The burial ceremony organised in honour of the mother of a nightclub owner Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana has been the talk of the town in the past few days as there was a lavish display of wealth.

Obi Cubana who hails from Anambra State organised a grand style burial rites for his mother who passed away in December 2020.

However, the event wasn’t going to be ordinary as prominent individuals such as politicians, musicians, actors, business people turned out in their large numbers for the funeral.

Present at the event which held in Oba which is located in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State are; Abba Kyari, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, House of Representatives member and Club Quillox’s proprietor, Hon. Shina Peller; Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Akin Alabi; pop star, Davido; D’banj, Alex Ekubo, Kenneth Okonkwo (Kcee), Emeka Okonkwo (E-Money), Poco Lee and Ubi Franklin, among others.

However, in an event where several individuals sprayed lots of money, Akin Alabi who represents the people of Egbeda/Ona-Ara constituency of Oyo State in the federal House of Representatives, was sighted in a viral video spraying a few notes of one thousand to some Ogene singers who hailed him in the Igbo language.

This generated barrage of hilarious reactions from Nigerians who criticised the lawmaker for only spraying only two thousand naira notes.

Reacting to the comments, the lawmaker and Nairabet boss, said that he is a government worker and can’t afford to spray more than he could afford to spray.

However, Alabi who took to his instagram insisted that he sprayed 9k and not 2k as people had insinuated.

The post reads, “As a government worker, i could not afford to spray (or was it sprinkle) more than this. And it was not 2k as bad mouthed people said. It was 9k. Thank you @obi_cubana for hosting us. You deserve all the love. Oya —Akin Nalabi eeehh”
