The traditional ruler of Arigidi Akoko, His Royal Highness, Oba Yisa Olanipekun, has requested that the remains of popular Nigerian televangelist, Prophet Temitope Balogun, popularly known T.B. Joshua be brought back to his hometown, Arigidi Akoko, in Ondo State for burial.

The Monarch made this known on Monday while speaking in Arigidi town. He explained that other clergymen like Prophet Moses Orimolade was buried in his Ikare hometown, emphasizing that Prophet T.B. Joshua’s burial should not be different.

“TB Joshua is treasured in his hometown, he must be buried there. His philanthropic legacy will remained in the heart of the people if is buried in Arigidi, noting that the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) touched persons living in every nook and cranny of Akoko land.

“He would bring rice to the people whenever we requested. He hated to see people go hungry. He was instrumental to the electrification of many communities in Akoko land after years of darkness.

“My greatest regret was that TB Joshua could not complete the university project in Arigidi,” the monarch lamented.

Sympathisers in their hundreds have been thronging to the hometown of Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua in Arigidi-Akoko community of Akoko North-West, Ondo state, paying a condolence visit to his family members.

A picture frame of Joshua was placed outside of the monarch’s palace with a condolence register opened for mourners to give final tribute to the deceased.
