American fighter, Deontay Wilder, has said he lost to British boxer, Tyson Fury in their rematch on Saturday night because the 31-year-old was the ‘best’ man on the night.
According to Wilder, Fury had an excellent performance against him, adding that he would come back stronger next time.
Recall that Fury knocked out Wilder in the 7th round at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, USA, to regain the WBC world heavyweight title in the process.
“The best boxer [Fury] won tonight,” Wilder was quoted by Metro UK as saying after the fight.
“Fury had an excellent performance against me, but I will be back stronger next time.
“Before the fight, I had many issues, but it is not an excuse for me losing against Fury.
“But I wished my corner would have allowed me to go out on my shield because I am a warrior.
“Greatest boxers have lost a fight and also came back strong.”
