A popular Nigerian rapper, Jesse Garba Abaga popularly known as Jesse Jagz has expressed confidence on winning Grammy.

Jagz speaking in a recent interview with newsmen said he is confident of winning Grammy because ‘nothing is impossible’

According to him, he would certainly join the sparse list of Nigerian artistes who have won a Grammy.

Revealing the sole reason he’d be bringing home the first Grammy award to Jos, the town he grew up, the “God on the Mic” rap star claimed it was because it belonged to him.

Jagz, who’s the younger brother to popular rapper MI, also noted it would be an avenue to show critics that anything is possible.

The 38-year-old entertainer said: “The fucking Grammy…., it’s mine. I own it! I’m going to bring it to Jos and show them that it’s possible. Grammys straight!!

Some Nigerian entertainers who have won the Grammy awards include: Olatunji, a talented Nigerian drummer, who was part of Mickey Hart’s Planet Drum projects, including the album Planet Drum. The album won the Grammy Award for Best World Music Album of 1991, the first year for which the award was given. He passed away sadly, in 2003.

Also, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu better known as Burna Boy, was first nominated in 2020, his album, African Giant was in the Best World Music Album category.

His latest album released last year, Twice as Tall earned him his first win on March 14.
