The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has disqualified Chad from 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The statement released by CAF on Monday revealed that chad was qualified after their Football Federation was suspended by the country’s Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The statement reads:”Following the suspension of the Chadian Football Federation by the Chadian Ministry of Youth and Sports, Caf has decided to disqualify the national team of Chad from the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2021.”

Following the decision, Mali now leads Group A with 13 points from five matches, with Guinea second on eight points from four games and Namibia sits third with six points from five games.

Guinea will need a victory to qualify when they host Mali next Wednesday; however, any other result will see them travel to Namibia for a qualification decider on Sunday.

The Les Sao already had no chance of reaching the finals in Cameroon as they sit bottom of Group A with only one point from their opening four games.

Meanwhile, Mali tops the group with 10 points, and followed by Guinea with eight as Namibia sits third with just three points.

And with the decision, Chad will no longer play their upcoming two matches against Namibia and Mali and instead 3-0 victories will automatically be given to both teams.
