President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday presided over the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caucus meeting held at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.

The New Diplomat reports that it was the first of such gathering since Tinubu took office on May 29, 2023.

Tinubu, in his address, highlighted his optimism about Nigeria’s progress and outlined his administration’s vision.

He expressed a positive outlook, stating that he was encouraged by the confidence shown by party leaders, who passed a vote of confidence in his leadership.

He declared that he is seeing a “sunny part of Nigeria” emerging, adding that the nation was moving beyond its challenges.

According to him, the policies of his administration were designed to place Nigeria on a path of growth.

He asserted: “We can steer the future of this country and make a difference. I like what is happening around the world.

“It is teaching a lesson that we, particularly Nigeria, is a great African country that can build and help Africa to grow.

“I am a very happy man; the sunny side of this country is on the horizon. Things are getting better; the days of gloom are gone.

”We are looking at the brighter and sunnier side of our country and our people.

The New Diplomat reports that the meeting was attended by prominent APC figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, and National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, alongside governors and other key stakeholders.
