Details about what led to Samuel Eto’o, the current president of the Cameroonian Football Federation, attacking an Algerian YouTuber outside a stadium after Brazil’s World Cup clash against South Korea have emerged.

The Algerian Youtuber named Said Mamouni in his latest video revealed he has filed the case with Qatari police.

“I’m at the police station to file a complaint against Eto’o. He hit me, and someone else with him pushed me and destroyed my camera.

“I asked him how is Bakary Gassama [referee that took charge of African World Cup playoff] and if he gave him a bribe. He then hit me and destroyed both my camera and mic.

“I will take my rights here in Qatar as it is a state of law, he did hit me in the chest and the face and in my elbow,” Mamouni said on his YouTube channel.

It is understood that Eto’o was among thousands of fans who gathered at Stadium 974 to watch the round of 16 clash on Monday night, December 5.

It appeared that the football star seems to have lost his cool shortly after the match, with a now-viral video on social media showing him kneeing the cameraman in the car park.

The 41-year-old retired from playing the game in 2019, following a spell in Qatar with Qatar SC. He is most famed for spells with Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea, after coming through Real Madrid’s academy in 1997.
