West Ham striker Sebastien Haller has joined Ajax on a permanent deal for a  staggering £20 million transfer fee.

The 26-years-old Ivorian Striker, who is West Ham United’s record signing, has now moved to Netherland to play for Ajax. Ajax made the announcement on its website on Friday.

It would be recalled that Haller joined West Ham United from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2017. Haller became the club’s record signing with a deal of £40 million. Since joining the club in 2019, Haller has made 64 appearances for West Ham and registered 19 goals and 4 assists in all competitions.

Recall also that 26-years-old Ivorian Striker has had pervious experience in Dutch football. He spent two-and-a-half years in Utrecht. The current Ajax manager, Erik Ten Hag was the manager at Utrecht during his spell at the Dutch football league.

While confirming the news, West Ham United thanked Haller for his contributions to  the club. The club which wished  him well in his next footballing encounter said: “West Ham United would like to thank Sebastien for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best for his future career”.
