The head coach of Nigeria under 17-national football team, Coach Nduka Ugbade has been listed alongside five of his victorious Golden Eaglets in the official Team of the U-17 WAFU B tournament in Ghana, which Nigeria won at the weekend.

The five Golden Eaglets on the Team of the Tournament are goalkeeper Richard Odoh, defenders Emmanuel Michael, Jeremiah Olaleke and Yahaya Lawal as well as striker Abubakar Abdullahi Idris, who scored a brace in the final against Burkina Faso.

The Eaglets emerged winners of the competition following a 2-1 win against Burkina Faso at the Cape Coast Stadium last Friday.

Beaten finalists Burkina Faso had three players, while Cote d’Ivoire, Niger and Benin provided a player with each.

Nigeria and Burkina Faso will represent the sub-region at the U-17 AFCON in Algeria, which will serve as qualifiers for the 2023 U-17 FIFA World Cup in Peru in October 2023.
