The #EndSARS protest brought Alimosho to a standstill, Saturday, as protesters poured to strategic locations in the area on day 10 of the nationwide protest, seeking an end to police brutality and a comprehensive police reform in the country among other sundry requests that are surfacing daily.

Alimosho is the most populous Local Government Area in Lagos and the youths proved that the large demography was not just on paper as they were heavily mobilized for the mass action, causing a total shutdown of the area, with traffic spilling to the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.

Nigerian hip hop-cum-revolutionary singer, Eedris Abdulkareem was on ground to pour energy into the life of the protest staged at Akowonjo roundabout, opposite Santos estate, just few metres from the Alimosho LGA headquarters where the protesters had converged on.

Eedris Abdulkareem who started off by rebuking ace politicians in the country for their contribution to bad governance, also performed some of his hit songs including the popular protest song: Nigeria jaga jaga, throwing the crowd into a frenzy of some sorts.

“The federal government must listen to us. Everybody who has lost a family member should come with their names and pictures at the tomorrow’s protest. Every family must be compensated,” Abdulkareem told the mammoth crowd.
