The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), under the leadership of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, has sealed off the building housing the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Wuse, Abuja, on Monday, May 26, 2025.

It was gathered that the officials of the FCTA reportedly sealed off PDP’s headquarters, at about 2:05 PM on Monday, citing allegations of unpaid ground rent.

This enforcement action follows the FCTA’s earlier revocation of the PDP’s land title on March 19, 2025, due to what the minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike called a 28-year accumulation of unpaid ground rent totalling ₦7.6 million.

According to a statement issued by Chijioke Nwankwoeze, FCTA Director of Lands, the PDP’s Wadata Plaza, which serves as its national secretariat, was among 4,794 properties targeted for non-payment of ground rent.

This comes after the officials of the FCTA had sealed off an Access Bank branch and a Total petrol station located in Wuse, Abuja.

Also, the FCTA sealed the premises of the Federal Internal Revenue Service (FIRS) in Wuse.
