Senator Ned Nwoko, the lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District of Delta State at the Senate has addressed explosive allegations of domestic violence leveled against him by his wife, Nollywood star Regina Daniels.

In a social media post on Sunday, Nwoko claimed that Daniels’ alleged struggles with drug and alcohol abuse are the root cause of their ongoing marital crisis.

The controversy ignited on October 18 when a video of Daniels surfaced online, showing the 25-year-old actress visibly emotional and claiming she could no longer endure the “violence” in her marriage.

In the clip, Daniels tearfully stated, “In Ned Nwoko’s house I’m nothing, but in my house I’m a queen,” while alleging that her husband had dispatched thugs to assault her.

Her brother, Sammy West, amplified the claims on Instagram, accusing Nwoko of physical abuse and labeling it a recurring issue in the high-profile union.

However, Nwoko, in a swift response claimed that while he was away, their son Munir fell ill with a fever. Instead of seeking medical help, Daniels refused to allow the family’s resident nurse to intervene, Nwoko alleged.

“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem.

“She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” he wrote.

The senator alleged that Regina went on a violent rampage at their home in his absence, attacking staff and destroying property.

“She slapped and hit three staff in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause.

“Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs.

“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier.”
