A shocking development happened on Friday when President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo was giving his State of the Nation Address.

During the address, the President’s personal bodyguard and Aide-De-Camp (ADC), Colonel Isaac Amponsah, collapsed while on duty.

This incident briefly interrupted the proceedings, causing a moment of concern among attendees.

Colonel Amponsah, who has been serving as the President’s ADC since February 2023, was attended to by the medical response team present in Parliament. He was seen being escorted out of the chamber after regaining consciousness.

The reason for the collapse has not been officially attributed to any specific cause as of press time.
