In a dramatic turn of events, Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has publicly lamented what he described as the incompetence of some of his key appointees.

This is as he declared that they cannot defend his administration’s policies and achievements on Social media platforms.

The governor made this declaration during a high-profile stakeholders’ meeting in Ado-Ekiti.

Speaking at the political event, the governor also accused the appointees of “eating from both sides” and failing to defend the salaries they earn.

He said: “We need to seize the social media space. It’s not as if they’re winning the battle, but some of you, my appointees, because they’re eating from both sides, they cannot even come out and defend the government. I’m telling you. Very few of them will be on platforms where they’re attacking us, and they will keep mute.

“They won’t be able to talk, and they’re collecting salaries every month. I’m marking them one by one. I’m not going to talk now, but be assured, those of you who are on the platforms where they’re dragging us and you kept quiet, and you’re collecting money from this administration, we will come for you at the appropriate time.”
